Harriett E. Dimick, 88 of Bowling Green passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Friday October 7 at Wood Co. Hospital.
Harriett was born August 23, 1928 in Center Twp. to Josephine and Verle R. Coller. She married James M. Dimick on June 12, 1948 and he preceded her in death.
Harriett was graduate of Bowling Green High School in 1946. Following graduation, Harriett entered nurses training but left her studies to get married and raise her family. After a number of years, Harriett returned to the workforce as a nurses aide, and later the Activities Director at Brookhaven (formerly the Wood Co. Nursing Home), where she retired from.
Harriett was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and Eastern Star. Harriett especially enjoyed traveling to the Florida Keys with her husband and family as well as taking two Alaskan cruises but especially the many birthday, graduation, and wedding celebrations of family and friends, at the family quarry south of Bowling Green.
Surviving Harriett is a brother, James Coller of Washington DC, five children: Jan A. Carli, Cleveland, Ohio; John (Mary Ann) Dimick of Bowling Green; Anne M. (Gary) Hoovler, Sylvania; Steve R. Dimick, Wauseon, and Dan (Cynthia) Dimick of Toledo; Grandchildren: Leslie Dimick, Bowling Green, Brian Dimick, Bowling Green; Peter Hoovler, Boston MA, Casey Hoovler, Sylvania; Andrew Dimick, Columbus, Ohio; Kyle Dimick, Bowling Green; Michael (Kara) Dimick, Norfolk VA; Emily and Sophie Dimick, Wauseon; and Michael (Kristyn) Miller, Bowling Green; 3 great-grandchildren: Porter Marshall, Corbin Daniel, and Eljah Edan Dimick
Family and friends will be received on Sunday October 9, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to service time at Dunn Funeral Home located in Bowling Green’s Historical District at 408 West Wooster Street. Services will be conducted at 11am at the funeral home with the Rev. Dana Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Portage Cemetery.
