Highway patrol investigating three-vehicle crash caused by semi driving the wrong way

The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle injury crash I-75 southbound in the City of Bowling Green. 

The crash occurred on July 15 at 2:49 a.m.

A semi was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes near the overpass for East Wooster Street. 

The semi struck a Ram 1500 and another semi that were traveling southbound on I-75. One of the semi’s overturned into the median. Diesel was released onto the roadway along with debris prompting the road closure.

The drivers of both semis were transported by ground ambulance to Wood County Hospital for non- life threatening injuries. According to the state patrol, “three occupants of the Ram 1500 were not released from the scene.”

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Bowling Green Police Department, Bowling Green Fire Department, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The crash remains under investigation.
