Jerald E. “Jerry” Vollmar, 77, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born September 23, 1942 in Tontogany, Ohio to the late Hershel and Edna (Burwell) Vollmar. He married Debra (Williams) Crawford on August 8, 2014 and she survives in Bowling Green.
Jerry worked as a crane operator at Libbey Owens Ford in Rossford, Ohio for 30 years. Following retirement, Jerry kept busy doing building maintenance. He enjoyed fishing and loved sitting outside in the sun. His greatest joy in life came from the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Along with his wife Debbie, Jerry is survived by his children Cheri (Scott) Spaulding of Bowling Green, Ohio, Scott E. Vollmar of Cygnet, Ohio, Michelle (Greg) Mossbarger of Wayne, Ohio, Bryan (Jennifer) Vollmar of Northwood, Ohio, Kevin Vollmar of Columbus, Ohio, Tina (Robb) Borders of Portage, Ohio and Lisa (Greg) Grilliot of Cygnet, Ohio, Mike (Patsy) Crawford of Bowling Green, Ohio, Josh (Lori) Crawford of Bowling Green, Ohio. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brittany, Andrew, Katelyn, Christipher, Mariah, Shane, Cameron, Monica, Theo and Preston, 10 step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brother Kent (Denise) Vollmar of Waterville, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry’s visitation will be held Monday, November 25, 2019 at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following at 12:00 p.m. Mike Crawford will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green.
