Kick-off for Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer today

The BG Convention and Visitors Bureau nd Bowling Green State University  are partnering with the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation in Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer a community fundraiser for cancer research and patient services. 

The kick off for this fundraiser will be held today (Saturday Feb. 8) at 1 p.m. at the Slater Family Ice Arena.  The activities are leading up to Scott Hamilton’s visit to raise funds for cancer research on April 18.

The Slater Family Ice Arena will have an informational session at 1 p.m., a Frozen 5k skate at 2 p.m, followed by  a sponsorship session at 2:30 p.m. for any local businesses interested in supporting Scott Hamilton and his fundraising efforts.

Proceeds from Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer will benefit both the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation and Mercy Health Foundation.

Frozen 5K Skate Admission and Rental Prices: $10, $5 for BGSU Students with ID, and $3 skate rental.

All admission proceeds go to the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation.
