Lenora J. Aring, age 90, of Pemberville, OH passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, OH. She was born on January 12, 1927 in Toledo, OH to Willard and Jesse (Tussing) Paxton. On November 11, 1950 she married Edward E. Aring, Jr. in New Rochester, OH and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2016. For many years she worked at the Holiday Inn, Bowling Green, OH as a general manager. Her memberships included: Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Pemberville American Legion Auxiliary Freedom Unit #183, both of Pemberville. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, cards, cross stitch, flower gardening and polka dancing. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren she will always be remembered as “Cookie Grandma”.
Lenora is survived by her daughter: Lisa (Mark Hack) Aring of Austin, TX, granddaughter: Candice (Kevin) Witt of Pemberville, grandson: Joshua Blevins and great-grandchildren: Zack, Luke, Noah, Kaylee and Kaden. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Edward, daughter: Karla Kay Blevins and brother: Ben Paxton.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11 AM. Officiating will be Rev. James Budke. Interment will be in Pemberville Cemetery, Pemberville, OH. Consideration for memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
