With the Bowling Green Holiday parade just a month off, take time to look back at parades from an earlier time.
In August of 1938 and 1939, Bowling Green hosted a first and second Tomato Festival.
The Wood County District Public Library has just posted 64 photos from the Jim and Joan Gordon Collection of the two festivals at: https://www.facebook.com/WCDPL/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10154189749274671.
Photos feature marching units, floats from local businesses and the contestants for the crown of Tomato Queen.
