Long-time school district residents warn about out-sized, out-of-town influence on local election

Yard signs pop up this time of year like dandelions in the spring. Anyone with enough money and enough property can pepper lawns, apartment complexes and rural fields with signs for candidates/issues supporting their best interests— which are often not the best interests of the majority of voters.

Please read Jan Larsen McLaughlin’s excellent article in the Independent News on BGCS school board candidates as well as seeking information on all candidates and searching out the facts behind all issues before casting your vote in the ongoing election.

Also beware when reading comments to BG Independent News’ articles and opinion letters — a quick check of commenters’ FB profiles should verify whether or not they are in the BG School District.

Don’t let your YES vote be swayed by outside agitators who have no vested interest in the success of Bowling Green schools.
