Mary “Phyllis” Simpkins, 92, passed away Thursday night, March 8, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 22, 1926 to the late Augustine and Georgina Kunz. She married John Simpkins in 1947 and they had 14 children before he passed in 1974.
Phyllis is survived by her children: Catherine (Roger) Hood; Anna (Rudy) Lewinski; Michael (Susie) Simpkins; Rose Teague; John (Sharon) Simpkins: Gerard (Sue) Simpkins; Mark Simpkins; Christopher Simpkins, Regina (Jeremy) Weeks, Timothy (Crystal) Simpkins, and Patrick (Judith) Simpkins; sister: Georgia (Jim); 26 grandchildren & a growing number of great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by four of her siblings: Augusta, Josephine, Marguerite, & Charles; two daughters: Madonna (Marvin) Harris, Mary (Tom) Kryder and a son: Augustine (Desiree) Simpkins.
