Her presentation of the American music world during the Civil Rights Movement was fantastic!” Ms. Phillips says she is very excited to hear Ms. Rosen speak about 1960s New York as part of the Park Avenue Summer tour. “Knowing now how much research Ms. Rosen does for her books, I am sure to learn an incredible amount about Helen Gurley Brown, Cosmopolitan, and magazine publishing, not to mention New York and fashion.”

Ms. Rosen is a native of Akron and a graduate of The American University in Washington DC.  She now lives in Chicago. She is at work on a new novel, The Social Graces, a story about Mrs. Astor and Mrs. Vanderbilt vying for control of New York society during the Gilded Age.
