A Bowling Green High School student has been arrested following comments made online.
Superintendent Francis Scruci informed high school parents of the situation through the SchoolMessenger system.
He said that the school was made aware of the comments by someone who found them “concerning.” Beyond that, the nature of the comments were not revealed, and the student was not named.
School officials notified and worked with the Bowling Green Police Department.
“During the police department investigation, they determined the student had made comments that led to his arrest. The school district will be taking the appropriate measures,” Scruci’s message to parents read.
He concluded by encouraging parents to talk to students about the seriousness of making comments online, and reporting those that they see that are problematic.
