Rossford shop collecting needed items for Bethany House

Ella Flora, a floral and gift shop,  in Rossford, is hosting a holiday goods drive for Bethany House.

Bethany House is a long-term shelter in Northwest Ohio for victims and their children who are escaping domestic violence. It provides free services, tools, and resources for survivors. Since 1984, Bethany House has served more than 2,000 individuals and provided more than 300,000 nights of safe shelter for victims and their children escaping domestic abuse in our area.

Items needed include paper towels, mouth wash, shaving supplies, lotion and $10 gift cards.

The drive will take place at Ella Flora, 301 Superior St., Rossford, during store hours, starting Nov. 20 and ending Dec. 23. Ella Flora features flowers, gifts, jewelry, wreaths, art, poinsettias and more. Winter hours are Tuesdays, noon to 5 p.m., Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays,noon to 5 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m..

Those who donate can receive a free flower and 10 percent off their purchase.

Ella Flora has served hundreds of area weddings with romantic, natural designs since its founding in 2012. Many of their products come from Ohio and Michigan.  It provides flowers for events, bimonthly subscriptions and deliveries, and also hosts workshops. Its first retail location opened in spring 2021.
