Saturday (Aug. 2) events at the Wood County Fair

Today (Saturday, Aug. 2) is the final day fairgoers can build their own Lego creation in the two-day special activity. Hours are noon to 8 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building, The setup includes regular-sized blocks and giant blocks. Four-year-old Benicio Espinosa builds a house with the small bricks after sitting in a big-block house on display. There is also a giant throne made of Legos for a perfect fair photo op.

Rides: Saturday, noon to 11 p.m. Ride wristbands $20

Daily gate admission: $8, All children 9 and under are admitted free of charge

Daily Activities: Chainsaw Carver Shows, Sheriff Stretch, Axe Throwing, Ovation Circus Acts, Sea Lions, Sharks and Stingrays Encounters

8 a.m. – Gates open

8 a.m. – Jr. Fair purebred breeding sheep show, Sheep Show Arena

9 a.m. – Open class ARBA rabbit show, Rabbit Barn

9 a.m. – Feeder calf auction, Pavilion Show Arena

10 a.m. – Pee Wee sheep show, Sheep Show Arena

10 a.m. – Pee Wee and Horseless horse show, Horse Arena

10 a.m. – Antique/Farm stock tractor pull, Grandstand

10 a.m. – Princess tea/Royalty racing, Pavilion Conference Room

11 a.m. – Open class breeding sheep show, Sheep Show Arena

Noon-6 p.m. – Farm to Market activity, near Weston Depot

Noon-8 p.m.- Legos, Fine Arts Building

Noon – Rides open until 11 p.m.

Noon-2 p.m. – Pie and cheesecake intake, Pavilion Conference Room

2-4 p.m. – NWO Wood Workers Guild demonstration, Fine Arts

3:30 p.m. – Open class horse speed show, Horse Arena

4-5 p.m. – NWO Wood Workers Guild kids tool box making, Fine Arts

5 p.m. – Pie and cheesecake auction, Pavilion Conference Room

6 p.m. – Buchman showmanship sweepstakes, Pavilion Show Arena

6 p.m. – Truck and tractor pull, Grandstand
