From Main ART-ery

The City of Perrysburg and Main ART-ery have collaborated to continue the Perrysburg Sculpture Walk into a third year gracing the perimeter and entryway of Woodlands Park, 429 E. Boundary St. in Perrysburg.

Fourteen sculptures are on view in the park, with an additional bright orange sculpture,  titled “Man in the City”installed as a “seek and find” activity located somewhere along Sandusky Street in Perrysburg.

The exhibition will feature three never before sculptures along with favorites from the prior year.  The artwork will be on display until August 2024.

Perrysburg Sculpture Walk is designed to be a walking destination in the mild months and driving destination in the colder months exemplifying the way art affects the urban setting as the seasons add distinct visual richness to the display.  The sculptures are illuminated at night to present a different perspective under the lights.

The exhibit showcases sculptures created by national and internationally known artists from Chicago, New York, Michigan and Ohio and curated to bring visual interest and enjoyment to all ages and walks of life.  The lineup of work is filled with unique sculpture material ranging from high fired clay to bronze.  The subject matter ranges from whimsical to narrative work with an emphasis on family friendly.  Viewers can use a QR code located on the artist signs to connect to a designated sculpture page with detailed artist bios and information about the sculptures.

In-person tours are available to learn fun and interesting facts about the art, the creators, and behind-the-scenes stories.  There are tours geared for all ages including children.
