The Toledo Symphony School of Music (TSSM) is partnering with Metroparks Toledo this summer to present in-person private lessons, group classes, and enrichment activities to ensure the health and safety of its students and faculty. Classes for students of all ages and ability levels will be held outside at various Metroparks locations.

“We are so excited to expand our class accessibly this summer by partnering with Metroparks Toledo,” says Rachel Schultz, Director of Education and Community Engagement for the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. “After being at home for the past few months, we hope that offering our summer classes outdoors gives parents and students the opportunity to get outside in a safe, fun, and creative learning environment. We’re looking forward to a great summer of beautiful music-making.”

“We’ll have beautiful music in beautiful places this summer,” said Matt Killam, Chief of Community Outreach and Experiences for Metroparks Toledo. “In the midst of all the cancelations, our cultural organizations are working together to provide a positive thing for our community this summer.”
