University galleries celebrate Qualified Rank Faculty in ‘Quintessentially Respected & Fabulous’ show

Bowling Green State University Fine Arts Center is honored to present the exhibition, “QRF: Quintessentially Respected & Fabulous, open physically October 10 through November 1, 2020 in the Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery. A virtual version of the exhibit will be available at www.bgsu.edu/gallery from Oct. 16 through Nov. 22.

The exhibition features visual, filmic and literary arts by BGSU Qualified Rank Faculty and Staff. BGSU Galleries are delighted to honor QRF faculty and technical staff in the various arts disciplines with this recognition of their research and contributions to the University. 

The featured artists and their media include Abigail Cloud, poet, English Department; Stephen Crompton, filmmaker and photographer, Department of Theatre & Film; M. M. Dupay, collage and assemblage, School of Art; Ross Mazzupappa, photography and printmaking, School of Art;  Klee Miller, photography and animation, School of Art; Joel O’Dorisio, glass and installation, School of Art; Clayton Peterson, painter, School of Art; Gordon Ricketts, mixed media, School of Art; Marissa Saneholtz, metals & jewelry, School of Art; Timothy Walker, photography, School of Art; Kim Turner Waterfield , digital, School of Art; Zac Weinberg, glass and mixed media sculpture, School of Art; and Jessica Zinz-Cheresnick, poet and multimedia, English Department.

BGSU Galleries will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays to general visitors, but open by appointment for groups and classes. Masks will be worn at all times. 

Individual visitors are welcome during open hours Wednesday-Sunday. 

Gallery hours: Wednesday-Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday 6-8 p.m., Saturday-Sunday 1-4 p.m.             

Groups and classes will be admitted by appointment only Monday – Thursday. Appointments may be made by contacting Jacqui Nathan at jnathan@bgsu.edu.  

The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this exhibition with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
