Waterville Historical Society to debut America 250 display

The Waterville Historical Society invites the public to its debut of the America 250-Ohio, Waterville display. Following the state guidelines, there will be different aspects of Waterville’s history and people to reflect on as one walks through the various areas of the display.

The museum will be open on Tuesday, July 14, from 1 – 4:30 p.m. It is located at 401 Farnsworth Road, Waterville, in the historic Wakeman Hall, located at the intersection of Farnsworth Road and the Anthony Wayne Trail.

The display is free, although donations are always gratefully received.

The Anthony Wayne Area Arts Council also invites the public to its “Eats & Beats” event, where the Waterville Historical Society will join the council to offer a family fun event in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 14, beginning at 5:30 p.m., at Conrad park, 798 Michigan Ave., Waterville, just behind the Waterville library.

There will be music, food trucks, and activities for kids, including “Kids Dig History,” a fossil dig for real fossils.

The event is free.
