Women’s Club of BG to hear program on domestic violence impact on children

GFWC Women’s Club of Bowling Green will meet on Oct. 5, at 7 p.m., at the Wood County Senior Center. The program for the evening will be the “Impact of Domestic Violence on Children” presented by a speaker from The Cocoon, a local agency for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. 

Donna Schmidt will introduce entertainment for the evening presented by students of the BGSU School of Music.

President Kathy Mull and Sharon Franklin will begin the meeting, and a brief business meeting will update and plan ongoing club projects, including finalizing plans for the Holiday Art and Craft Show scheduled for Nov. 12. Carol Ballard will share news of upcoming garden group projects and Candace Gillen will share literature group projects. New members are scheduled to be inducted.

Hostesses for the evening are Pat Limes, Linda Frizzell and Amy Harrison-Kinder. 

The designated charity for September is The Cocoon. The club will make a donation of $125 to the Cocoon on behalf of members.
