Maumee Senior Center to host ‘mystery’ day trip on April 21

From MAUMEE SENIOR CENTER

Seats are currently available for Maumee Senior Center’s mystery day trip on Tuesday, April 21. The trip is open to anyone, regardless of age or residency.

The day begins when the bus leaves Maumee at 9 a.m. and then returns by 4 p.m. Travelers are encouraged to dress in layers and be prepared for any kind of weather.

“No one knows where we are going, but we always have a great time and we discover new attractions,” said Malinda Ruble, executive director of the Maumee Senior Center. “The trip gets people out of the house and away from the daily routine for an adventure of the unknown. There is always a lot of laughing and fun with no stress.”

Mystery trip tickets are $105 for members of the Maumee Senior Center and $115 for non-members. The day trip includes lunch, snacks, games, motorcoach transportation, and fun. Travelers are encouraged to bring some extra spending cash for shopping or treats.

“Travel and new experiences help to re-energize all of us. A day away helps to put a little zip in our step and helps generate funds for the Maumee Senior Center at the same time,” said Ruble.

Payment can be made by cash, check, or Venmo. For additional information, call 419-893-1994, email maumeeseniorcenter@gmail.com, or stop by the Maumee Senior Center, 2430 S. Detroit Ave.

Proceeds from all fundraisers help fund the operations and programs of the Maumee Senior Center.
