A Toledo man who had just been released from Wood County Jail on Tuesday (Oct. 27) found himself back in jail after he reportedly stole a bicycle to get home.
The Ohio State Patrol got a report of a male riding a bicycle northbound on Interstate 75 around 3:43 p.m. The man on the bike, Joshua Shull, 39, reportedly told the trooper that he stole the bicycle from the Meijer gas station at 2111 E. Wooster St., because he had just been released from Wood County Jail and had no other way to get home to Toledo.
A Bowling Green Police officer checked with an employee of the Meijer gas station, who said he rides the mountain bike to and from work. He described the bicycle that had been confiscated on I-75. The Ohio State Patrol returned it to the employee.
Shull was arrested for receiving stolen property and taken back to Wood County Jail.
