A fifth Wood County resident with COVID-19 has died. The latest victim was a man in his 60s, with underlying health conditions.
Wood County now has 64 confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases, according to the daily update from the Wood County Health Department on Tuesday, April 14.
As of today, 20 of those with the virus resided in long-term care facilities in the county.
A total of 25 are hospitalized. Wood County Hospital has two patients who tested positive for COVID-19.
Those with the virus range in age from 20 to 96, with the median age of 59. Of those, 38 are female, 26 are male.
No additional information about the 64 Wood County residents will be provided by the health department in order to protect their privacy.
