The Leadership Bowling Green Class of 2026 has announced a community service project, “Pickleballin’ for a Good Cause,” that will take place on Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., at the Bowling Green Community Center, 1245 W. Newton Road.
This high-energy, family-friendly event brings together sport, food, and fun – all in support of a meaningful mission: combating food insecurity in the Bowling Green community.
Proceeds from the event will benefit BG Parks and Recreation and the Bowling Green Community Foundation.
Attendees can look forward to a full day of entertainment and engagement, including:
- Pickleball tournament
- Team up and hit the court to compete for prizes, bragging rights, and a great cause
- Food and refreshments
- Enjoy a variety of foods for purchase from onsite food trucks
- Pickleball drop
- Purchase a pickleball for $20 (limited to 100 balls) for a chance to win $500 during the drop at 8:45 a.m.
- Raffle baskets
- Win one of several raffle baskets filled with goodies donated by local businesses
- Kids’ area
- A dedicated space packed with activities to keep younger attendees entertained
