On Nov. 3, voters in Wood County will have the opportunity to support older adults by voting yes on the Wood County Committee on Aging’s 1.0 mill renewal levy.
This levy is a renewal only. It is not a new tax and it does not increase taxes. By renewing the levy, Wood County residents can help ensure that seniors continue to have access to vital services that allow them to remain healthy, independent, and connected to their communities.
Every day, the Wood County Committee on Aging provides meals, transportation, social services, caregiver support, wellness programs, and opportunities for seniors to stay engaged. These services touch thousands of lives across our county and help many older adults remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
As our population continues to age, these services become even more important. Renewing this levy is an investment in the well-being of our parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends.
