From BOWLING GREEN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce several June fundraisers that will directly benefit the Community Fireworks slated for July 3 at dusk.
On June 19 it’s the annual Pork-a-Lean Cook-Out Fireworks Fundraiser with Belleville Market. This fundraiser will be during the Bowling Green Farmers Market on the corner of Clough and S. Main St. from 4-7 p.m. Your donation will get you a Northwest Ohio famous ‘Pork-a-Lean’. Sponsored by Belleville Brothers Market, Walmart, and the Downtown BG Farmers Market, we encourage the community to come out and enjoy the market and the music!
On June 26 stop out to Buffalo Wild Wings, 1550 E. Wooster St. from 5-9 p.m. with a coupon (either printed or saved on mobile devices from the homepage of the Chamber website.) and 15 percent of all food purchases (dine in and take out) will be donated to Community Fireworks.
On June 28 it’s Cheers and Beers Fireworks Fundraiser with Pizza Pub 516 at 516 E. Wooster St. from 7-9:30 p.m. Join in the 50/50 Raffle and be served by local celebrities. All tips given to our Celebrity Bartenders will be donated to the Community Fireworks. Stop in and watch celebrities Francis Scruci (BG City Schools Superintendent), Andy Newlove (Newlove Realty), and one more special guest (to be announced) serve up refreshing beverages and delicious eats for a good cause.
“I want to thank everyone who is helping us with the fundraising; from committee members, businesses that are opening their doors for us, and all the volunteers who are providing the manpower to make these events successful”, said Mary Hinkelman, Executive Director of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce. “Our community and our neighboring communities look forward to the amazing fireworks display each year, and it takes the support of everyone to make this happen financially. When the fireworks start popping, you will all know you made it happen and we thank you in advance.”
Fireworks Sponsorships are also available, from the Star Sponsorship (up to $100) to the Uncle Sam Sponsorship ($1,500 and above). Individuals or Businesses are encouraged to contribute at whatever level is comfortable for them. Contact the Chamber office to arrange a donation.
