BG Police arrest man for assault and domestic violence

A Bowling Green man was arrested Saturday after he reportedly punched a woman in her face and abdomen.

Bowling Green Police Division was called around 1 a.m. to a home in the 1000 block of Clark Street, and arrested John Nagy Jr., 42, for assault and domestic violence. He was taken to Wood County Jail.

The woman’s visible injuries reportedly included a bloody lip, a large bump on her forehead, blood on her forehead, a swollen cheek, and bruised area by her eye.

According to the police report, Nagy has been arrested for domestic violence in the past, but was convicted of lesser offenses.
