From BRIAN SHAVER FOR CONGRESS
Brian Shaver, Democratic candidate for Ohio’s 5th Congressional District, will hold a town hall on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 6:30 p.m. at Grounds for Thought in Bowling Green.
“I believe representatives must put people before party and stay present and accountable to their communities,” Shaver said. “That’s why I’m hosting an in-person town hall in my opponent’s hometown, something he hasn’t done in this district in over a decade.”
Shaver is also in the midst of his “Tacos and Transparency Tour,” which includes events in all nine counties of the district, each hosted at a local taco-serving restaurant on Tuesday evenings. The listening sessions offer residents across the political spectrum an opportunity to share their concerns and priorities.
His remaining tour events are to be held in Huron County on Sept. 8. Wyandot County on Sept. 22, and Hancock County on Sept. 29.
A full list of forums and additional campaign events can also be found on Shaver’s website at www.brianshaverforcongress.com/events.
