Campus COVID case reports low as semester ends

As the semester ends – graduation was this past weekend – Bowling Green State University  reported only seven new cases of COVID – four students and three staff members.

That was a decline from last week’s 19.

For the semester, BGSU had 754 cases – 691 students, 22 faculty, and 41 staff.

Next semester all students, faculty, and staff will be required to be either vaccinated or have received an exemption. As this semester ends, 74.9 percent of students have been vaccinated, and 14.5 percent have received exemptions, leaving 10.6 percent not in compliance. The compliance number higher for residential students with is 81.7 percent vaccinated and 13.3 percent with exemptions, leaving 5 percent not in compliance.

For staff and faculty 90.6 percent are vaccinated and 6.3 percent have received exemptions, leaving 3.1 percent not in compliance.
