Chamber of Commerce to present digital media workshop

From BOWLING GREEN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce announces a Digital Media Workshop with Karl Smith. This Workshop will be held on Sept. 26 at the Four Corners Center located at 130 S. Main St. Bowling Green.

“Own Campus and Your Town” will be offered in two sessions for your convenience. The first session will be from 7:30 -9 a.m. and the second will be offered from 4-5:30 p.m. Both sessions will cover the same material.

Guest speaker Karl Smith is a 1987 BGSU graduate who has worked in digital media, marketing and communications for 20 years and now teaches data analytics and marketing analytics at Cairn University.

Smith will explore how technology companies are manipulating mobile device usage and other digital data to target customers, as well as digging into social media and how platforms are making it more difficult to reach customers. In addition, he will separate myth from fact on both digital and “traditional” marketing techniques and discuss solutions for extending the mileage of your marketing. The main objective is to help you understand how to thrive in a multi-platform world and how to work through challenges.

Early registrants will be offered the opportunity to share their social media platform with Smith prior to the event for his assessment. Don’t miss out on this perk-RSVP early!

The seminar is open to the public and free for Chamber Investors, $10 for Non-Investors. Reservations are required by Tuesday, Sept. 24. RSVP to Bethany Eschedor at Events@bgchamber.net or by calling: (419) 353-7945.
