Choral Society welcoming new voices to sing Mozart’s Requiem, Yule music, & a celebration of the solar eclipse

The University Choral Society performing Mendelssohn's 'Elijah' in April 2022.

The University Choral Society is seeking new singers for its upcoming season.

The UCS consists of community members of the greater Bowling Green area as well as BGSU students and faculty.

The featured work will be a February performance of the Mozart Requiem with the Toledo Symphony in the Peristyle. Also, the chorale will perform its annual Joyous Sounds holiday program in late November at the First United Methodist Church.

On April 8, the chorale will present “A Choral Evensong in Observance of the Solar Eclipse” at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.

The ensemble rehearses on Tuesday evenings at 7:30, and interested singers are invited to attend the first rehearsal of the season on Aug. 22, after which they are welcome to audition if they are interested in joining the ensemble.

The rehearsal will be held in room 1040 at the College of Musical Arts on the BGSU campus. Anyone wanting more information, can reach out to the director Mark Munson at  munson@bgsu.edu.
