County libraries band together to provide online magazine access

From WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY

Wood County’s eight independent libraries—collectively known as Woodlink—have a long history of working together to provide better services to county residents. Recently the Woodlink libraries (North Baltimore Public Library, Pemberville PL, Rossford PL, Way PL, Wayne PL, Weston PL, WCDPL, and Kaubish Memorial PL) pooled resources to bring Wood County residents 24/7 access to a large online, downloadable collection of popular magazines through Flipster, an easy-to-use digital magazine newsstand.

From Taste of Home to National Geographic for Kids to Mopar Muscle to Wired, the Flipster magazine collection provides something for readers of all ages and interests: In all, Flipster offers readers a choice of 84 magazine titles, including several years of back issues. This collection is larger than any one library could afford. All of this content is free to anyone with a library card from a Woodlink library.

All of the Flipster magazines may be read on your mobile device using either your web browser and a 3G or 4G connection, or you may use the free iOS or Android apps to download content. You may also enjoy a large screen experience by accessing magazines directly from your library’s website. If you find an article you like, all content may be printed from your computer.
