First Solar, JobsMeanOhio team up for job fair

OhioMeansJobs-Wood County Wood County will  support the hiring efforts of First Solar, America’s solar company its upcoming virtual career fair to be held July 28 and 29. 

Whether someone is unemployed and need support finding a job, or they want a new job with better pay, hours, or flexibility, OhioMeansJobs-Wood County’s team is available to support their job search. 

Building on its strong and growing presence in the Northwest Ohio region, First Solar continues to seek candidates to fill its Production Operator and Production Technician positions at its Perrysburg facilities. Just as the company employs innovation and technological advances to its products, the company will to be using technology to connect with regional job seekers. It will be hosting a virtual career fair from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 28, and from 4- 6 p.m. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Thursday, July 29, from 4-6 p.m.

The fully virtual, online event will connect job seekers with First Solar’s Talent Acquisition team, and qualified candidates may be eligible for on-the-spot job offers. First Solar is currently hiring for Production Operators and Production Technicians, which are both featured in the virtual event. The company offers a 10 percent premium for night shift, a consistent schedule employees can rely on, and benefits starting on day one. Quarterly attendance bonuses, annual bonus targets of 5 percent of base pay, free on-site fitness center, and technical career path opportunities are additional benefits to employees.
