“A fit body for everybody and every body” is the motto that Taylor Rose embraces at Bowling Green Fit Body Boot Camp.

Rose and her mother, Kim Rose, opened the new fitness center at 1039 Haskins Road, Suite F, in January. Taylor oversees the Monday through Saturday group workout sessions and memberships while Kim handles much of the business operations such as human resources, payroll and marketing. There are also two additional coaches, Ryan and Jacob, who help with the group sessions.

Taylor, who graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2013 and joined the family auction realty business, has always had a passion for health and fitness for as long as she can remember. Fit Body Boot Camp lets her combine her interest in health and fitness and her desire to help people feel good about themselves.

The workout format at the fitness center is group fitness, “my favorite way to train,” Taylor said. “My mom and I visited another Fit Body location and loved everything about it. We are at different fitness levels, and the workouts accommodated both of us. I loved how inclusive it is.”

They can accommodate any fitness level, shape, size or age. Each session is different, but during the workout, the coaches demonstrate the details of that session’s exercises. They also always provide modifications for people who want to scale back for less impact or for those who want to make the workout more challenging.

The 30-minute afterburn workouts combine High-Intensity Training with Active Rest Training. Taylor develops the programs, which are “super effective” whether they are more cardio- or strength-focused.  The available equipment ranges from rowers, saddle ropes, relentless ropes, and TRX to weights, dumbbells, kettlebells, sliders, and agility ladders. Taylor said one session might include two equipment types or up to four or five.

Currently, there are approximately 35 different 30-minute sessions offered throughout the week, starting as early as 5:10 a.m. during the week, with the last session starting at either 5:15, 6 or 6:30 p.m., depending on the day of the week. Three sessions are offered on Saturdays at 7, 8 and 9 a.m.

For people just beginning, Taylor recommends working out three times per week, primarily to give their bodies a chance to recover in between sessions.

Soon, they will offer a nutrition package – the ultimate transformation program – that will include weekly meetings, check-ins with a coach and an app that will provide a grocery list for the week.

“I finally feel like I’m where I’m supposed to be. It feels like a real community, a place where people really belong,” she said.

In the nearly two months since Fit Body has been open, they are already seeing results from customers. Taylor said in addition to some people losing inches and dropping clothes sizes, one person reported her resting heart rate has already dropped five beats per minute, and others are telling her they feel better and have more energy.

The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the opening during a ribbon cutting today (Feb. 28) at 4 p.m.
