The North Baltimore Ohio Area Historical Society, North Baltimore Public Library, and the Virginia Theater are pleased to announce their latest Ohio Goes to the Movies selection, “Eenie Meanie.”
This action-comedy follows a reformed teenage getaway driver who is drawn back into her troubled past when a former employer offers her an opportunity to save the life of her chronically unreliable ex-boyfriend.
“Eenie Meanie” was selected because portions of the film were shot at Toledo’s Hollywood Casino and in Cleveland, highlighting locations familiar to Ohio audiences and showcasing Ohio’s growing role in the film industry.
The community is invited to join the historical society and library on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Virginia Theater. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the movie will begin at 6 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Ohio Goes to the Movies is a collaborative program that celebrates films with ties to the Buckeye State. Through this partnership, the North Baltimore Ohio Area Historical Society, North Baltimore Public Library, and the Virginia Theater bring Ohio-connected films to the community while highlighting the state’s cultural and cinematic heritage.
