Gala to support the Northwest Ohio Teen Book Festival

The Northwest Ohio Teen Book Festival and JustWrite Ohio will host the second Annual Gala and  Auction at the Sofia Quintero Art & Cultural Center in Toledo on Saturday, Aug. 26. 

The gala is a celebration of teen literature and a fundraiser to support the 2024 Northwest Ohio Teen Book Festival.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for live art demonstrations, appetizers and drinks  followed by keynote addresses and dinner. This year the keynote speakers  will be mystery authors Julie Anne Lindsey and Kit Frick.
“We have been working hard to create this fantastic event and to  organize another great book festival for area teens and Young Adult readers,“ said Shannon Holleran,  Northwest Ohio Teen Book Festival committee member. “We are excited to announce that the keynote authors have graciously offered to auction off  ‘naming a character’ in one of their upcoming novels.”
As the event starts, guests can watch live art being created that will be auctioned off at the end of the night. Artists Amber Kear and Jim Zalewski will be featured at the event.

The Northwest Ohio Teen Book Festival will be held at Rossford Junior-Senior High School on Saturday, March 9.
