The favorite summer holiday of Fourth of July is fast approaching. The normal cook-outs, fireworks, and outdoor activities are sure to happen. While spending time with friends and family why not add another member to the holiday festivities by adopting a dog from the humane society. The Wood County Humane Society (The WCHS) is celebrating with an Independence Day adoption special.

From Wednesday, July 5th through Sunday July 9th select dogs will be half off their normal adoption fee. All dogs have been spayed/neutered, received age appropriate vaccinations, a microchip, initial dewormings, and are current on flea and heartworm prevention. The shelter is located at 801 Van Camp Road, Bowling Green, Ohio. The shelter will be open on Wednesday, July 5th from 12:00pm to 7:00pm and Thursday July 6th to Sunday July 9th 12:00pm to 5:00pm for the Independence Day adoption event.

Come join us and welcome a new member of the family into your home. For more information or questions about the adoption special please contact the shelter at 419-352-7339 or visit our website at http://www.woodcountyhumanesociety.org.

The WCHS, located in Bowling Green, Ohio, is a private, non-profit managed admission shelter providing care for homeless and abused pets and investigating cruelty complaints in Wood County. The organization relies on earned revenue and the generosity of individual donors and businesses to fund our programs such as Safe Haven and food assistance programs, spay/neuter transport, and educational presentations. The WCHS provides care for hundreds of animals each year– -from dogs and cats, to horses, goats, and pocket pets. All animals admitted into our adoption program are housed and cared for as long as it takes to find their fur-ever home.
