Library offering course in computer basics, including how to stay safe online

The Wood County District Public Library is offering for Computer Basics, an introductory computer class Fridays through July at 11a.m. in Meeting Room C at the Bowling Green Library.

The series includes a session devoted to staying safe online. That class, on June 30, class will cover all the general ways to stay safe while using the internet and  personal computer. Learn more about Windows 11, general internet browsing safety, avoiding email phishing, the importance of updates, and Windows Security.

The Computr Basics course topics each week will be:

  • June 9 – Windows 11
  • June 16 – Beginner Internet
  • June 23 – Email with Gmail
  • June 39 – Cyber Security
  • July 7 – Digital Resources
  • July 14 – Microsoft Word
  • July 21 – Google Suite

Computers and equipment for each class are provided.
