North Baltimore Village Council to meet Tuesday evening

North Baltimore Village Council will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., in the town hall.

Council will hear the reading of ordinances and a resolution involving the sale of a village parcel, the amended Wood County Solid Waste Management Plan, and the creation of a part-time position of property maintenance officer.

The police chief will discuss the hiring of two new police officers, Charles Broshious and Jeremy Salaz, and one new dispatcher, Natasha Sanchez.

The finance report will include an update on the auditors completing their on-site work, and the village awaiting the completed audit report for the fiscal years ending Dec. 31 in 2021 and 2022. The village is audited every two years.

The North Baltimore administrator will present his report on the following:

  • Water Street bridge replacement.
  • Sidewalks at the downtown Main Street crossing of the CSX tracks.
  • Water main replacement project.
  • East Broadway reconstruction.
  • Recycling bins at the public works building.
  • Hanging flags and banners from AEP poles in the village.
  • Potential annexation of Sheets property.
  • Hancock Wood Electric building on Insley Road.
  • Village website.
