Positively Pink program to address weight loss

From WOOD COUNTY HOSPITAL

The Positively Pink Women’s Health Series is starting again post COVID. The program covers a range of topics important to women in the community.

The event begins with social time with a few vendors offering pertinent health information on popular women’s health topics, blood pressure screening and snacks. Each event offers an expert speaker that presents a topic to improve women’s health or offer solutions to common problems women face.

Positively Pink will be on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. with social time beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the Wood County Hospital meeting rooms.

Martha Gonzalez RD, LD, of the Center for Weight Loss Surgery will speak on “Weight Loss in Women: What works, what doesn’t, and the way to achieve a healthy weight.”

This event will focus on the struggles many women face when trying to lose weight. All too often it seems that for every step forward, it is two steps back. Learn about the reasons why women have such difficulty reaching weight loss goals, ways women can combat these issues and what options work the best in achieving the goal of a healthier lifestyle.
