Public invited to decorate a chair as part of Art Walk

Decorated chairs on display at 2018 Art Walk.

From DOWNTOWN BOWLING GREEN

As part of the 32nd Annual Art Walk in downtown Bowling Green on Saturday, May 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., anyone can stop by the Downtown Bowling Green’s Special Improvement District Office at 217 S. Church St., located in the Four Corners Center, to pick up their very own chair to decorate. Each chair costs  $10 (cash or checks can be written out to The Downtown Foundation, Inc.).

After picking up a  chair, participants  can decorate it however they choose (must be family-friendly). They will then bring the chair to the Wood County District Public Library the morning of the event (May 11) to be voted on and raffled off. The chair that receives the most votes will receive $50 in Downtown Dollars.

The number of chairs available is limited. Easy Street Café donated the chairs.

Creative embellishments are encouraged.

The chairs will then be raffled off.  Raffle tickets can be purchased for $1 each or 6 tickets for $5 during Art Walk at The Wood County District Public Library.

The

Chair Show will take place at the library, 251 N. Main St. The chair raffle will be held after 3:30 during the Art Walk Reception.

All proceeds from the raffle will go toward the Downtown Foundation’s Flower Fund that is used to purchase and maintain the blooms that fill the historic downtown.
