Truck driver injured in single vehicle crash on I-75

A 78-year-old truck driver was seriously injured when the vehice he was operating left I-75 early this morning (March 9).

Troopers from the Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the call at 6:34  a.m. 

Travis Sanders, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee, was driving a Kenworth T680 commercial tractor trailer unit south on Interstate 75 near milepost 184 in Center Township when his vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway. It  struck a median cable wire and guardrail before coming to rest in a ditch. 

Sanders was transported from the scene by Life Flight with serious injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by Midcounty EMS, Life Flight, Wright’s Towing and the EPA.

Center Township Fire Department also responded.

This crash remains under investigation. Impairment is not believed to be a factor.
