Wood County reports 32 new COVID cases since Monday

After weeks of single-digit new COVID-19 cases, Wood County has reported 32 new cases since Monday. 

The county is now up to 13,365 confirmed and probable cases from COVID, and 228 deaths since last March, according to the Thursday, July 29, update from the Wood County Health Department. (The number of deaths was revised from 229 on Monday).

The number of people hospitalized from COVID since last March is 657.

Broken down by ZIP Code areas, new cases in the last two weeks have been reported in the Perrysburg area, 19; Bowling Green, 9; Rossford, 5; and Portage, 5.

As of today, 53.21% of Wood County’s population has been vaccinated. That’s 69,608 people who have gotten at least their first vaccine dose.
