Wood County Recorder Julie Baumgardner has released a report covering the transactions of the recorder’s office for the third quarter, July 1 through Sept. 30:
- 1,511 deeds were recorded for this quarter, compared to 1,529 deeds being recorded for the same quarter last year.
- 1,247 mortgages, with a valuation of $866,262,910.19, were recorded for this quarter, compared to 1,376 mortgages, with a valuation of $842,313,534.63 being recorded for the same quarter last year.
- Numerous other documents were recorded, in addition to the above, for a total of 4,606 documents being recorded for this quarter, compared to 4,940 documents being recorded for the same quarter last year.
- TheWood County Recorder paid a total of $273,789.08 into the county for this quarter, compared to $300,955.74 for the same quarter last year.
- $120,448.58 of the total for this quarter was paid directly into the county general fund, compared with $133,026.34 for the same quarter last year.
- $135,236.50 of the total for this quarter was paid into the housing trust fund, less one percent back to the county general fund by the state for the timely distribution of the money to the fund, compared with $148,569.40 for the same quarter last year, less one percent paid back to the county general fund.
- The remaining balance of $18,104 was paid into the recorder’s equipment fund for this quarter, compared with $19,360 for the same quarter last year.
