The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Parade Project Team is looking for volunteers for the upcoming Holiday Parade. Details about each position we need filled can be found through the Chamber website or at this sign up link: https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/2979234/false#/invitation
Bay Coordinator
Bay coordinators help set up barricades and direct units to make sure they are in the correct line up order. Please report to the Four Corners Center located at 130 S. Main St at 8:15 a.m. for instructions. Even if you are assigned to the last bay you will be done by Noon.
Banner Carrier
Banner carriers will march in the parade holding the banners for parade sponsors. Banner Carriers should report to the Four Corners Center located at 130 S. Main St. at 9:00 a.m. for instructions. This position’s duties will be completed by 1:00 p.m.
Non-Permit Zone Monitor
Check in individuals who want to use the non-permit zone. Monitors will also have to schedule those individuals who want to use the zone the day of the parade. Please report to the Four Corners Center located at 130 S. Main St at 9:00 a.m. for instructions. Until noon.
Traffic Flow Directors
Traffic Flow Directors will have signs that tell units to “SPEED UP” or “SLOW DOWN”, in order to maintain the proper pace of the parade. Please report to the Four Corners Center located at 130 S. Main St at 9:00 a.m. for instructions. Work until noon.
Exit Bay Coordinator
Exit bay coordinators assist parade units in exiting off of South Main Street safely. 9:45 a.m. to noon.
The 2019 Annual Bowling Green Community Holiday Parade will be brought to you this year by the following Presenting Sponsors: The City of Bowling Green, The BG Chamber of Commerce, Bowling Green State University, BG Convention & Visitors Bureau and Downtown BG. WTOL Channel 11 will be broadcasting the parade live again this year and Jerry Anderson will be back as our commentator!
