Judith M. Morris, age 77, of Luckey, OH passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH. She was born on May 11, 1939 in Fillmore, NY to Merton and Alta (Benson) Armison. On December 24, 1969 she married Thomas E. Morris in Hume, NY. Judith worked for the Ohio Turnpike for 25 years as a toll collector. She was a member of the Independent Freewill Baptist Church in Pemberville, OH and was celebrated as the first women voted to the town council in Rush, NY. Everyone knew Judith for her baked goods, love of cooking and her famous peach pie.
Judith is survived by her husband of 47 years: Thomas, children: Cindy (John) Nichols of Farmersville, NY, Doug (Robin) Potter of Pike, NY, Jacki (Tom) Rich of Lorain, OH, Teresa Morris of Elmore, OH, Kathi Morris of Knoxville, TN, Lori Marchese of Olmsted Falls, OH, 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, sister: Dorothy Konz of Richmond, VA, brothers: Max (Jan) Armison of Fillmore, NY and Clair (Connie) Armison of Rushford, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2-6 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11 AM at the Independent Freewill Baptist Church 20144 Bradner Road Pemberville, OH, with an additional time of visitation from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Ross Bennett and Rev. Clarence Mullins. Interment will be in Hardy’s Corners Cemetery, Rushford, NY. Memorial contributions may be given to: Independent Freewill Baptist Church.
