Philip F. Hinesman, 72, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 31, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio with family by his side.
Philip was born in Toledo, Ohio, on August 6, 1945, to O. John and Grace (Fredrich) Hinesman. He married Mary Ann Lemke on January 27, 1973. Survivors include wife Mary Ann Hinesman; sons Bradley (Jennifer) Hinesman and Eric (Megan) Hinesman; sister Sue (Fred) Bernardo; grandchildren Addison, Austin, Elyssa, Luca, Quinn, and Tate Hinesman; and niece Kathleen (Larry) Burnside and nephew Robert Zimmerman.
In 1968, Philip graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Accounting. After 31 years as a Produce Manager at Kazmaier’s grocery, he retired in 2011 and further pursued his interests of gardening, travelling to places of historical significance, and enjoying the wildlife in his yard. Additionally, he was a lifetime member of St. Marks Lutheran Church.
More than anything, Philip excelled at being a great family man. As a husband, he was devoted to loving and caring for his wife. As a father, he was simply the best, always delighted to spend time with his boys. As a brother and son, he was ever ready to offer support however needed. As a grandfather, he captivated his grandchildren with fascinating stories and he charmed them with endlessly full pockets of candy and coins to share.
Visitation will be held on Friday August 3, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. His funeral service will be held on Saturday August 4, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 315 South College Drive in Bowling Green. Pastor Rob Spicer will officiate. Interment will follow at Wood County Memory Gardens in Bowling Green.
