This past Friday and Saturday, the Brown Bag Food Project was stationed outside of Walmart to collect food donations. We would like to recognize the generous people of Wood County and surrounding areas for making this a success. It was wonderful to talk to so many giving people. We offered a short shopping list of food and hygiene item choices for shoppers to buy. The response was overwhelming. We, the board members, would like to say thank you to all who donated and stopped by to talk about the problem of food insecurity in Wood County. Also, an extra loud thank you goes out for those of you that volunteered your time to sit at our table. With your continued help, we truly can make a difference.
