The Bowling Green Arts Council will present Ann Beck speaking about “Inspirations from an Itinerant Artist” on Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at The Barrel Room at Beckett’s, 163 S. Main St., downtown Bowling Green.
This is the fourth talk in the arts council’s “An Evening With…” free public speaker series.
Beck’s remarks will begin around 6p.m. and last approximately 20 minutes, followed by a brief Q&A. The arts council will also hold its annual meeting at this event with a brief update on activities.
Beck creates mixed media jewelry and art. Her influences include the mountains and deserts of the American West and her travels around the world.

“I’m honored to be able to share some of my creative process with whomever may be interested to know how/where I get inspiration for my work,” said Beck.
“Ann is such a wonderful and well-established artist in our community,” said Robin Gerrow, president of the BGAC. “This is a great opportunity for other artists to hear about how her travels inspire and are integrated into her artwork.”
The BGAC is a volunteer organization working with local artists, arts organizations, and supporters to provide inspiration, enjoyment, and learning opportunities in the Bowling Green community. More information can be found at bgartscouncil.com.
