Ashtabula Infirmary topic of Tea & Talk

The Wood County Historical Society welcomes Mariana Branch, from Kingsville Public Library, in Ashtabula County, as the guest speaker for the July Tea & Talk Series on July 11, 2-4 p.m., at the Wood County Historical Center & Museum, 13660 County Home Road, in Bowling Green, Ohio.  

The July Tea & Talk Series will cover the story of Ashtabula County’s Infirmary and how for over 125 years, this model institution cared for residents with Western Reserve morality. The intimate story of resident “Penny Billy” will be shared along with the handmade necktie quilt made in his honor.

Mariana Branch has a degree in Archaeology from Kent State University. Branch is currently the Director of the Kingsville Public Library, in Kingsville. 

Reservations & payment are needed by Friday, July 5th by calling 419-352-0967 or visiting woodcountyhistory.org. Admission is $23 for adults and $18 for Wood County Historical Society members. Admission includes tea, light refreshments, and the program. The museum is open for self-guided tours. The Museum is handicap accessible.
