Beginning June 2, Call of the Canyon will kick off a month-long celebration of its 30th anniversary.
Call of the Canyon’s anniversary celebration will begin at the restaurant with a remote broadcast of “The Morning Show with Clint Corpe” on Monday, June 2, from 6 – 9 a.m. Guests are encouraged to make comments, have some Biggby coffee, enter a drawing for Toledo Mud Hens tickets, and receive a special offer to use later at Call of the Canyon.
Throughout the rest of June, Call of the Canyon will feature various discounts on specific days, including 30% off one item, $1.95 slice of pie, and two Zane Grey sandwiches for $19.95.
Sandy and Jerry Wicks established Call of the Canyon in June 1995, six years after establishing Grounds for Thought. Three years later, in July 1998, Sarah Foster assumed ownership of the business, which she retained until 2015.
From 2015 to August 2020, George and Amy Strata were the operational owners. Ardy Gonyer and Tim Emmerich purchased the business 2020 and are approaching their five-year anniversary of ownership.
