A fenced play space will be the feature at the fall “Yappy Hour” sponsored by the Citizens for BG Dog Parks. Dog owners and their canine friends are invited to enjoy the large off-leash area at Arlyn’s Good Beer on Saturday Sept. 23 from 3 p.m. to sunset. In case of rain, the event will be held on Sept. 30.

Arlyn’s, 520 Hankey Avenue in Bowling Green, will donate 16 percent of all beer sales on the day of the event in support of the efforts by CFBGDP to establish a dog park in the city.  Donations will also be accepted at the “doggie door.”

Kevin’s Kajunette food truck offering a Creole-style menu will be at the event from 4-8 p.m. Guitarist Noah Martis will start playing at 7 p.m.

Dogs may come in costume or dress up with available props to pose for a Pawtograph.  Pup Cups will be available for a small donation.

Dogs attending the event must be licensed, fully vaccinated, nonaggressive, responsive to commands and supervised at all times by the owner.

Citizens for BG Dog Parks is working with the City of Bowling Green on a location and design for the dog park. For more information join the Citizens for BG Dog Parks Facebook group or visit the web page BGDOGPARKS.ORG to be added to the mailing list.
