Update: Fifth person dies as a result of Fulton County crash that killed three children

UPDATE March 29: Muriel Michael, age 28 of Wauseon, succumbed to injuries sustained in a crash Saturday in Fulton County. She was the driver of a vehicle struck at the intersection of County Road 14 at County Road H in Clinton Township when a vehicle driven by Zane Hull, 21 of Delta, failed to yield the right of way at the intersection. UPDATE March 30: Further investigation by state police determined that safety belts and/or child safety seats were in use at the time of the crash by all occupants in both vehicles, with the exception of Xavier
Brown, the front right seat passenger of the BMW.

A fatal crash in Fulton County claims four lives, including three children, over the weekend.

According to the Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred Saturday, March 26, shortly before noon on County Road 14 at County Road H in Clinton Township, Fulton County. A 2013 Jeep Wrangler driven by Zane Hull, 21 of Delta, was eastbound on County Road H when the driver failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and struck 2013 BMW 5 series operated by Muriel Michael, 28 of Wauseon, who was southbound on County Road 14.

Two passengers in the Michael vehicle, Deklin Jankowski, 9, Delta, and Xavier Brown, 25, Wauseon, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two more juvenile passengers, Aurora Michael, 7, and Riggs Brown, 1, both of Delta, were flown by air ambulance to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for serious injuries. They succumbed to their injuries on Sunday, March 27.

Michael was taken by air ambulance to Toledo Hospital with serious injuries.

Hull was taken by ground ambulance to Fulton County Health Center for non- life threatening injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Morenci, Michigan Fire Department, and Wauseon F ire Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
